I woke up on Saturday feeling excited to spend time with Grace, even though we wouldn’t be able to be careless in our interactions like we had been in Paris. I had been side-tracked by my friends the previous night, but I wanted to see how she was doing after what happened with Whitney. I was hoping that the staff weren’t giving her trouble, because I saw the way they looked at her after Whitney’s words.
I had meant to send her a message when I got back home last night, but I had ended up passing out on my bed, exhausted from jet lag and my night out. Before I left my small apartment in Queens, I sent her a message to let her know I would see her soon, and then I headed to the subway station. I arrived an hour early, just like Daniel and Lucas had suggested I do.
