CHAPTER 27. Devil's Sacrifice

Emir's Point of View

I'm currently at a meeting with a big client and other executives when my wife called me, telling me that she is just going to a greenhouse, I let her but I instructed the security to turn on her phone's GPS and followed her secretly.

My blood boils to the edge after seeing that she lied to me, my men sent me some photos showing that she met with Nicolo, he even laid his filthy hands on my wife.

I furiously hit the table with my hand that made everyone shocked, looking at me.

"Mr. Villafranco? Is everything alright?" Jessica whispered to my side worrying about my sudden act in front of the meeting.

But I just ignore her and stand up, and starts to walk out of the room,

"Emir! You can't just leave the meeting like this." I heard uncle Ruben said to me which made me stopped and turned to my secretary,

"Cancel this meeting," I ordered.

"But sir," she argues.

I've been working for this deal and even use the power of the watch to help me get this but I can't let my wife do this to me, I need to finally catch Nicolo and whoever is helping him, they'll all pay.

I tried calling Hope but she is not answering, and now tried calling Henry.

"Yes sir?" He immediately picked up.

"Nicolo met with my wife, where are you!?"

"Sir I'm looking out for Miss Ariane, as you told me," he explained.

"You said that you're doing your best to find that Nicolo, how is it possible that he could still sneak out and meet with my wife? He's only around the city yet you can't find him!? You're useless!" And I ended the call.

I immediately take the elevator and press the lower ground floor where my car is parked, while on the lift, I was tempted to use the watch to bring back the time when my wife called me, but I hesitate because I want to know how did Hope know when and where to meet him, her phone was being modified and it's only me and her family could reach her out.

I started my fast pace towards my car and quickly got inside. I had to start in the mansion to know who gave her the message to go.

While on the road the security that is following Hope called me,

"Yes?"

"Sir, Nicolo took your wife sir, I don't know where they are going yet but we are already tailing them,"

"Make sure not to let them get away,"

"Yes sir,"

I arrived at the mansion and gathered all of the securities that are assigned to secure and roamed around including Karen, but before I could utter a word Alfred took a step forward in front of me and showed me a photo of an almost melted piece of paper. The message was unreadable but the 'N' at the end of the message is clear.

"What's this?" I asked.

"Sir, I saw Karen gave a piece of paper to Miss Hope and after reading it she throws it behind her plants and then water it, that's when she soon leaves the mansion." He informed me,

I look in Karen's direction with sharp eyes, I can already feel the heat of anger rising inside me. I took my slow pace towards the lady while pulling out a gun and ask,

"So it's you, now tell me where did Nicolo plan to bring my wife to?" I calmly asked while showing the gun in front of her.

I can smell a strong scent of fear looking down at the lady, I wonder why Nicolo would send a gutless lookout like her.

"Si-sir, I don't know." She said with a shaky voice.

"I see, so you don't know yet what I am capable of when my patience runs out," I said wickedly,

"Sir, I swear I don't know, it is Mr. Red who asked me to give it to your wife." She announced.

I suddenly stopped, trying to analyze everything and why I can't catch Nicolo, but why would he do this to me.

"Henry," I utter in a low voice.

"Sir, I saw him arrive earlier just after you left and when I asked him he told me that you asked him to check on Miss Hope," Alfred said.

"So, it's him,"

After planning everything, I called my wife again using an unknown number to make sure she's fine but Nicolo answered and I guess he throws her phone after my men saw it on the road while following the signal, but I don't worry about it since base on their routes I know they are going to bring Hope to Ariane which I most bothered about.

I know I can always use the watch and bring back the event but still, I want to see in front of me how my unworthy assistant betrayed me, but what made me even furious is how my wife could lie to me just to meet with my enemy. I thought we were good when she took the initiative to kiss me before I went to the office and even asked for me to stay but now this.

I heave a deep sigh to release my frustrations.

We are currently on the road to my wife and I can't wait to see Henry, I'll make sure he'll regret that he turned his back on me, or did he? He might have planned everything the moment he stepped inside my premises. I cracked my knuckles as I can't wait for the moment of truth.

The night sky revealed as we finally arrived at the resort where I kept Ariane hidden.

I let Alfred lead the men, they checked the place while I pulled out a gun for myself from the compartment before I stepped out. I was confused about why there are no securities around.

Alfred and the other stayed cautious while getting closer to the apartment. We saw Henry's car and a black SUV parked beside it, they knew that it wasn't one of ours.

They circle quietly around the vehicles trying to peek if there is someone inside, when a stranger suddenly came out and before he could make a noise, Alfred quickly knocked him out.

We continue with quiet movements until we reach the door, and the two of my strongest men do the opening by kicking it so hard. Once it opened, there I had the most awful sight of the day, Nicolo and my traitor assistant with my untruthful wife staring at me with her moist gentle eyes.

I always knew that look, it wasn't the look that I am expecting to be when she is about to curse me but the one who wants to run away just like how the accident happened when she saw me coming out from my mistress' apartment.

"Welcome! Emir Villafranco, I'm glad you came!" Nicolo announced wickedly while pointing a gun at me together with Henry.

But I don't care about them yet, I need to get my wife out of here first before anything bad could happen. I swallowed hard looking at her, she stayed still in the middle near them while she glued her eyes at me, and my jaw clenched in annoyance.

"Hope!" I called her with my deep demanding voice but she didn't move.

"Don't, you are not coming with him anymore, don't let him use you again," Nicolo whispered loudly to my wife's ear but my beast woke up in his sleeping state when he suddenly touched my wife's face in front of me.

My nostrils flared with so much anger while gripping the gun tighter. I'm certain I can win this with the number of men I brought with me but I don't want my wife getting hurt and I know in this kind of battle Henry knows my strength, unfortunately, he knows my weakness as well.

"We will be taking Ariane and let us escape from here, then you can have your wife back," Henry speaks.

I chuckled and smirked wickedly,

"How dare you to tell me what to do?" I asked calmly with fiery eyes.

"Alright then, then we are taking her," Nicolo said and abruptly snaked his arm around my wife's fragile neck while his other hand is pointing a gun at her.

She still is not uttering a single word but her eyes still glued at me. My body shivers by his action while my men and Alfred move from their position slowly towards them but also can't do the first shot since they have my Hope.

"Oh! Be careful with your trigger man, you might hit her then you'll be dead for sure," Nicolo mocked at Alfred.

Slowly they walked backward, they covered themselves with my wife. I slowly raised my arm with the gun and pointed it at Hope, they stopped.

I was thinking that if I just shot her I can always bring her to life, but can I really do it? Her eyes softened as she looked at me, then she suddenly burst into tears.

"See? He can even sacrifice you." Nicolo said to her.
