I fought to maintain my composure as Ava howled warnings in my mind.
This was the man whose very name made other Alphas tremble. The heir whose power was said to be unmatched among our kind.
"Then talk," I said curtly, gesturing to the living room. "Both of you."
Marcus guided Aurora inside with a gentle hand at the small of her back. The casual intimacy of the gesture made my protective instincts flare.
Just yesterday, she had been engaged to Alex. What game was the Shadow Warriors' heir playing?
"I'll make this simple," Marcus spoke for the first time, his deep voice commanding attention. "I've asked your sister to marry me. And she's accepted."
