Chapter 15: A Different Kind of Hitchhiking “How do we do this?” I asked, unsure of the process, but somewhat excited about it. “I’ll handle it," he said in my mind. He released me from our mutual hug, and then he swept me up into his arms like a fireman carrying someone out of a fire. I am very muscular and thick, but I was impressed with his strength, and felt tiny in his arms. It suddenly seemed then that we jumped into the air, and I heard the sound of his wings, this time up close and personal. As we moved into the night, I felt the cold air rushing past me. I knew that I should have been terrified, but I wasn't. Until tonight, it had been a rather boring week for me in Point Pleasant.
