Allison’s POV Dawn was approaching and I knew that meant, our time of departure had arrived. As this realization also dawned upon Ryder, he pulled me into his embrace, like he wasn't ready to let me go. I reassuringly squeezed him tight. “Don’t worry, I’ll always be yours.” This seemed to ease his mind as he released me with a sigh. Stepping away, I flashed him a smile, then a nod, as I waved him goodbye. I could feel his eyes on me as I walked away. I turned around to face him, his sweet smile greeting my eyes. He blew me a kiss and I felt the butterflies fluttering in my stomach. I could not help but run back to him with outstretched arms. Leaving was way harder than expected. “Tell me you’ll rescue me soon.” I pleaded with my head buried in his chest, tears threatening to fall. His ha
