Dawn was approaching and I knew that meant, our time of departure had arrived. As this realization also dawned upon Ryder, he pulled me into his embrace, like he wasn't ready to let me go. I reassuringly squeezed him tight. “Don’t worry, I’ll always be yours.”
This seemed to ease his mind as he released me with a sigh. Stepping away, I flashed him a smile, then a nod, as I waved him goodbye. I could feel his eyes on me as I walked away.
