I left the premises, walking just beyond the gate, pacing back and forth as I tried to come to terms with Jack’s information. My mind was so wrapped up in my thoughts that the sound of the gate reopening didn’t even alert me. Unexpectedly, Sebastian appeared behind me....
“What’s on your mind sweetheart?” By then, he had advanced nearer, until he stood directly in front of me, catching me off guard.
