Being Alpha was not a status to be taken lightly and as such it was hard work. An Alpha has to be fearless, courageous, brave and strong. As the future Alpha, all the gym equipment and resources were at my disposal. I had no excuse for failure or weakness which could automatically disqualify me from being the next Alpha. I had to conceal hurt, pain or any emotion that would render me weak, no wonder so many Alphas become emotionless, ruthless Leaders. Losing touch of your humanity was a real possibility when you are taught to constantly suppress your feelings.
