After hearing what the man he thought was his friend revealed, Eddie didn’t know what emotion he should have felt. His chest was heavy and he could not breathe when he came out of the door of their house.
His mind was confused, and he wanted to go back to him to ask, but he didn’t seem ready to hear the answer to his questions. His mother was inside the house but he couldn’t face her right now because he would surely just cry in front of her and when that happened, he is sure she would ask the reason and he doesn’t want to hurt his mom.
He knew how much his mother loved Peter. He wasn’t just a nobody to them. He treated him as his younger brother, and his mother considered him as her child. He couldn’t imagine what will go to happen once her mother found out that her dear child is gone.
