Clearly, Clayton had pissed her off somehow. “I’ll check on her.” Sam patted my shoulder as she followed Mia. “No, Mia, wait.” Clayton took a step to follow them as well, but I stopped him. “Where do you think you’re going?” I asked him with a frowned face. “Jackson, it’s really not a good time.” He spoke impatiently. His eyes were fixed on the door through which Mia disappeared. “You are coming with me,” I ordered him to follow me.
