“Mia, stop pretending. I know you liked Xavier,” Nugget yelled again.
I tried to reason with her, but it was of no use. She spoke with such confidence.
Above all, Sam joined her. “How couldn’t you remember him, Mia? He saved you so many times…”
I liked him! He saved me! Why couldn’t remember any of that? They kept doing it every day in the college. I didn't know whom to trust. My memories were in a mess. I knew I was missing something. And those grey eyes were everywhere. I stepped back as they kept yelling and screaming at me.
“That’s not true… I hardly knew him.” I backed off and ran from them, only to bump into Greystone on my way.
“Greystone… look what they are saying! I don’t know him… Please tell them, I don’t know him…” I mumbled.
