“It only matters when I let it,” Percilla started, trying to look unaffected. It was a tactic Renee lived by and certainly strange to hear anyone else use. All the while, Renee nodded, accepting what Percilla said, without getting further into it. Luckily, it sounded like Adam got the memo. Instead of getting involved, he stalked off out of their foyer.
