Emptiness filled his mind and body, burned by the way Renee shut him out. Not even the mind stone let in her light. Her facets are opaque even with the healing crystal attached.
He dropped his head in defeat. His shoulders sank, sulking as he followed the sweet scent of rich clean air. It coiled through his senses, washing the stink of his battle off of his fur. Stone underfoot became rough and sloppy, covered in clay and mud.
