Renee disguised her reaction to the imperfect combination. She’d had chocolate before. What she’s had before was smooth. Refined… what she ate now, wasn’t. She lapped what she could off of her teeth to show she wasn’t some little princess. She could eat this representation of a treat. The essence, whatever they’re calling it, and move on.
