"Jax!" The minute the doors burst open, I rush to him and throw my arms around him.
He hugs me tightly, burying his head in my neck. "I've missed you, sis."
Gosh, I've missed him too.
After I graduated, he offered me the option to return to our rightful pack. The Grand Cane Pack, but by then, Austin and I were pretty serious, and our relationship was solid.
Jax had bought a house over there as promised, and apart from the regular calls, we hadn't really seen each other much after we parted.
Somehow– I don't quite fully know the whole story or all the details, but– he was noticed by the Alpha over there and before I knew it, he was calling to share the good news that he had been promoted to Beta. I was surprised but not shocked.
