I’m outside
I don’t even need to read that twice.
In no time, I’m up and out of bed, my feet trekking down the stairs with absolutely no regard for my safety. As soon as I reach the door, I waste no time yanking it open, and immediately my breath hitches from the overload of excitement bursting from my lungs as I inhale that familiar scent of sweet vanilla. For a moment, I stare at her in disbelief.... she’s here, she’s really here.... standing in front of me.
“Can I come in?”
I’m pulled from my mental daze as her sweet melodic voice floats into my ears. In eager haste, I step aside with a beckoning call. “Of course, come in.”
