"Suspended for two weeks!" Principal Horhay's words keep ringing in my head as I leave his office. Two frickin week. I tried protesting but it was either that or expulsion and right now, this place is my only connection to Amelia, so I swallow my pride and just accept my fate.
The hallway is clear since classes are now in session but after everything, the last place I want to be is confined in a room with the same students who would have witnessed my outburst. So, I stroll down the hallway to my usual hang out spot at the back of the school to clear my head.
Mere minutes before the last bell rings and everyone begins scampering out of classes like a stampede, I make a visit to the nurse's office where Jason had been taken. I knock and enter and he immediately sits up.
