Carter's POV:
Slowly, opening her eyes, Carter winced as the light hit her eyes, making her shrink back and want to crawl back and hide. It felt wrong, seeing light. After spending a week underground in nothing but darkness, feeling the sun made it feel as if it were burning her skin slightly. She closed her eyes and waited for a moment, then opened her eyes again to see that it wasn't as bad. Wait, sunlight?
Looking around, she finally saw where she was.
With a gasp, she realized she wasn't in her dark cell. She was lying in her soft bed, in her room at the pack house. Soft covers were pulled up around her, fluffy and warm pillows behind her head. She was in warm sweats, fluffy socks and a large hoodie, her hair and body now clean and bandaged.
Plenty of food and water
