Firelights of Christmas
This was my first story character who was inspired by another short story rather than a novel. We’re back to the new hotshot crew formed up in Fire Light, Fire Bright.
But merely being the boss’ assistant wasn’t enough for Patsy Jurgen.
And when I needed a Christmastime setting in the midst of a summer fire season?
It wasn’t a long stretch to incorporate one of my wife’s favorite year-round Christmas stores. The one in the heart of Leavenworth, Washington is fantastic. When we lived closer, we’d make a special trip up into the mountains to purchase that year’s new ornament and wander the snow-filled streets.
