(Elara's POV)
Vivienne’s voice lashed out like a whip. “You’re seducing him, aren’t you? That’s what this is all about! My brother is too blind to see it, but I’m not!”
Her words echoed through the sacred grove, sharp and biting. I tried to hold my ground. “Vivienne, you don’t understand. I didn’t—”
“Oh, I understand perfectly!” she spat, cutting me off. “You’re just playing the helpless little orphan card, working your way into his life to claim power that should never have been yours!”
I tried to keep calm. This wasn’t the time or place for a fight. If she could be reasoned with— “Vivienne, please. I don’t want to argue with you here.”
