Bumangon ako sa kama, it was still sore down there, but not that sore anymore. Saktong iyon ay bumukas ang pinto at bumungad si Pearl, binigyan niya ako ng isang tipid na ngiti. “Kira, breakfast.”
“Is Maximo gone?” I asked, hoping he isn’t. How can he not wake me up when he was planning to already? I should have seen him and bid him a farewell, and a good luck... kiss.
“He sailed to Algaya already, Kira. He left a word saying you and Marco will be in charge of looting for this week and he didn’t wake you up since you seemed to have a good sleep.”
Tumango lang ako. I can’t believe Maximo has fully entrusted to me just about everything. We don’t even know each other that much, right? I mean, it’s only been almost a week. Am I even fit for his trust?
