Renée's POV: Ryker had taken me into another bedroom to sleep. Our room has been closed off for investigation and he had all our clothes brought in here and new bathroom items bought. He didn't want to use anything that was in that bathroom mostly because the lady's blood sprayed everywhere when she was cut.
It took me hours before I had finally fallen asleep. Ryker held me the whole night while I fought to sleep. I couldn't get the vision of that woman's face out of my head. How she was just laying there with her eyes and mouth wide open staring at me with a blank look. The floor was covered in her blood and her neck was cut so deep I could see into her throat.
