Flabbergasted, Savvy yelped helplessly, "Kai, what were you thinking? Days? We are going to be stuck in a cave for days?"
"You sound scared!" he teased, brushing his fingers over her legs and lifting the fabric of her dress slightly higher.
"Scared isn't the right word for what I feel." She ran her hand over her face. "It's a cave! There is no food, no water, no place to sleep! What are we going to do?"
"Oh, about that," he moved her off his lap. "There are actually a lot of things to do here. Follow me."
He walked off into the darkness, and Savvy grabbed the lantern, scurrying to catch up with him.
