CHAPTER VI: DEFIINED CONTRASTS
It took them five days to return north; and over the early shines from the sun´s tales, upon the 18th day of the Gont Cycle, the gods reached the mysticism from the beautiful lagoon of aquatic fruits; there, the gods took a rest, at the request of the goddess of light.
"Marlina, this was the kelmer* we eat on our first meal!" says Amsiret. “It’ll surely must taste the same as that day!”
“I guess so.” responds the goddess.
“Are you all right?” exclaims. “You´ve been quiet for a while. What happens?”
"Nothing, I'm just a little overwhelmed, that's all," replied Marlina.
"Marlina, listen, thank you for getting me out of there," says Amsiret. “I know I've already told you this countless times, but I couldn't be more grateful for the love you've shown. You are always there for me when I need you the most!”
"That’s what worries me, Amsiret," replies Marlina, “I don't always have to be there. Aren't you supposed to be the king who should take care of me? Aren't you the one who wants to build an empire? How will you do it if you depend on your beloved?”
"I always try to take care of you, and you know I’ve done it," replies Amsiret. “What are you talking about?”
"You know what, it doesn´t matter Amsiret," the woman stands up angrily. “I think you should stay today in here. The witch's venom must be completely extracted, and these days you have not been able to rest. These waters will purify your spirit, and heal the pain through their vapors.”
"Are you sure that's what it is?” asks Amsiret. “It seems you´re tired of me; aren’t you?"
"Amsiret, tomorrow is the big day," says Marlina. “I know what I want, but I need to spend today alone. I want to meditate, and reflect on everything that has happened. I want to be completely sure of the decision that I am going to make tomorrow, in the eyes of my brother.”
"I understand," says Amsiret. “I'll be waiting for you, tomorrow.”
The god of air stood up, kissed the goddess of light on the forehead lovely, and the goddess smiled; above her worries, above her fury. She crossed the delirious lagoon, until she reached her floating raft that allowed her to cross the magical river, until the correct currents took her to the proximity of small shack of wood. She entered it, and the tranquility of life seduced her again; so she decided to take a little nap. She was really exhausted.
Later on, in the beautiful morning lights, Marlina wakes up and sees her window open; her mind panics, his heart started bumping. She looked around, confused, as she prepared to defend herself if it was needed. It was clear someone had entered her cabin.
She gets out of bed quickly, and heads to the living room. She hears a noise coming from behind her, and immediately turns around with a sword she grabbed from her wall, and pointed it aggresively towards the unknown creature.
“Easy!” exclaims Arac. “It's me!”
“What are you doing here?” says Marlina, as she held the sword at him. “I think I mentioned you not to be nea–
"Just follow me” exclaims Arac, as he gently touches her hands. “I need to show you something. Trust me, it’ll be the best thing you've ever seen."
"How in Egmeon’s name you want me to trust you?" asks Marlina. “Don’t you remember what you did? Besides, this is the second time you have entered my house without my permission, and your energy does not give me any comfort either. You’re always on my nerves! Always with your tension and games! Do not think that because of a tree you have the right to do whatever you want with me.”
"Not because of it; but you know well it was better than an insignificant mirror."
"Not everything is appearances in this life," exclaims the woman, “not everything you want to project with value needs your materialism.”
"Everything is appearances in this life, my queen," responds the god of plasma. “Everything’s based on the renewal of the material, since it is what really moves our minds. What inspires our visions, and what pushes us to manifest our wildest dreams. Or are you going to tell me that you were captivated by seeing yourself in a mirror?”
"You know what, that's your problem," says the woman. “You are too self-centered, too haughty, too jerk!”
"And you love that, don't deny it to me," says the god. “I am your contrast, and therefore, exactly what you need.”
"You're dumb, that's what you are," the woman says. “You thought you were going to get me with just the snap of your fingers, your creeping gaze, and your words with your esteem too high. Well, you are wrong! It is your difference with Ams–
The god of plasma interrupted the woman, holding her face delicately, as he gives her an unexpected kiss, which extended more than it should’ve. And as much as the woman did not want to accept it, the passionate exchange made her stray from her reality, and explore her asleep imagination between the dimensions of an intense connection the man offered her naturally. It was the kiss she always dreamed of, in her loneliest days.
"I will show you something better than my brother," answers Arac. “Something he will never give you. Just give me one last chance.”
"Okay," Marlina answers. But I'll be behind your way, just in case.”
Arac lead the goddess of light walked towards the forest, as they entered the depths of it; passing through some beautiful trees, and profound lands that surprised the eyes of the goddess, since they had never flourished so beautifully.
The mythical man made her go through a wide variety of mysterious paths; illogical for the woman, but she understood his decisions were objected to captivate her attention. Thus, she spent more time with his presence, more time with his real intentions. And in some strange way, it worked. Their spirits were dancing, playfully with each other, for the mystery he delivered to the woman fascinated her passions. Her heart bumped fiercely, with every step they took, until they reached a set of small lagoons. Resting, over the mysticism of the beautiful forest.
They reached the sidelines of a robust tree, bulky and eccentric. And below the suit shadow, the magical clearing of the small lagoon displayed miraculously in the distance; an incredible view, even for the goddess.
“You know, I wanted to apologize for the way II yelled at you” says Marlina. “Don’t get me wrong, you deserved it. But either way, I´m sorry. That’s not how I usually behave.”
“Come on Marlina” responds Arac. “That’s how you always behave!”
“Of course not!” said Marlina, aggressively
“You see? It’s okay my love,” says Arac, laughing, “that’s exactly what I like the most about you.”
“My fragile temperament?” asks Marlina.
“Your strong character.” responds Arac. “Your capacity to stand up for what you believe in. You know, that’s probably the only thing we both have in common. I really love you Marlina, for I’ve envisioned us, and whatever we built together, will be the most powerful thing in this planet.”
"Well, I guess you asserted bringing me here. It´s a first step.” says the woman. “I´ve been here before. But I don't know, it's not the same place it used to be.”
“What do you notice different?” asks Arac.
"I don't know," replies the woman. “It looks more, vivid. I mean, these lagoons have always been beautiful. But it is different now. I see a renewed beauty in them, after so long.”
“Is that all?”
"Well, what do you want me to say?" asks the woman. “I see more flowers, more animals; more brightness, more intensity.”
“You see hope again, that's what you see.” exclaims Arac.
The god then, invited the woman to bend over. They sat in the shade of the tree, as it was the perfect view of the beautiful pond. And before saying a single word, suddenly, the god raised his arms elegantly; confident, silent. In an instant, a purple power began to spring all over them, until it covered the gods in a magical field of energy.
"Close your eyes." exclaims Arac.
The woman closed her eyes, and when she opened them again, night had suddenly fallen. The lagoons displayed an impeccable reflection. The trees illuminated the surroundings. The wind blew gently over them; caressing the face of the beautiful woman. Arac smiled as a gentleman, as he embedded the fortunate ones in the currents of a private, ethereal night. Created only for them, by the magical intentions of the plasma capabilities. Exposing an oscillating love; the one who sings along the vibrations of the sweet voices from deep blue woods.
"What have you done?" asks Marlina.
"I have isolated ourselves in time, to be reborn again at night." replies the god. “Whilst the day is necessary, the night is the right time for you. For in the sunshine of the days, you can find the light everywhere; but at night, it’s where she’s truly appreciated. The nature of plasma is the highest power on this realm, but it means nothing, if it does not have light in its inherent darkness.”
"You know I want you, Marlina," the god continues. “I have waited a long time for this, and I do not care to know what destiny offers you, because you know that I am made just for you.”
The woman was lost in the desires and the mystery of the strange night; apparently fabricated. She kissed the god once again, and this time, an outbreak of an improbable but authentic love was born between them.
After consummating their passions, Marlina began to sleep, and ramble in her hidden consciousness; around the secrecy of her will. Lost in a dream that began in the gardens of a beautiful castle. The god of the air, was beside her; holding a flower from a broad bush. He plucked the flower, and gave it to the hands of the beautiful goddess; dressed in a suit fitted with pearls of gold and pink. And with a delicate voice, the man began to whisper something to the goddess.
“Revenge is in the hands of the one who does not wish to hold it, but with the necessary strength to manifest it, since its inherence in this nature, will be attracted only if the light desires to find its way through it. Remember Marlina, not everything bad, is so bad; not everything good, is so good. The gold ceases, the jewels fall, but the words will never die, and these disturbing actions continue to run through the swamps of these treacherous people, and they will rise aflame in the realms of madness, like a blasphemy upon their damned curses, for there will be no one, and nothing, that could stop the birth of the fearsome consequences; imminent, in the acts from all of them. "
The firmament covered in a dark cloud. The garden turned into ashes rapidly; the fire seized all their surroundings, approaching with fervor over the cracked earth towards the limbs of the goddess of light and thunder.
“Wake up, my love.” exclaims Amsiret. “Your time, has come "
Marlina woke up with her heart bumping out of her body; in her right hand, the magic mirror was held tightly. She looked around quickly, she was back in her bed. Her window was still open, but it was already daylight. She was in her home, intact, and delicately placed.
She got up, drank some water, and returned to her room. Upon her personal shelf, was a small scroll; an improvised note.
“You fell profoundly asleep! I didn't want to wake you up. You are an angel, even sleeping. I brought you here, and I left you in your bed, for you didn't seem you’ll wake up anymore. Relax, I would never take advantage of you, and much less considering the fact, we will have thousands of more nights to share, when you make our decision. I can’t believe the day had finally arrived! I will be waiting for you in the great center, along our beautiful tree. I adore you, Marlina.”
