“You want to know if I think grand-père could make a person disappear?” Aria frowned. She had woken up late to find Theo doing his best to make pancakes. It took everything she had not to burst out in hysterical laughter. Both dogs were covered in flour and the batter was a lumpy nightmare. “What were you trying to do?” Aria asked when she had control of herself. “I wanted to surprise you with breakfast,” Theo sighed. “Women like men who can cook, right? My sister goes on and on about Caden’s cooking.” “Well, yeah. Caden has been cooking since he was like ten,” Aria couldn’t help but smile. “Papa said it was an essential skill, so we learned to cook by helping him and maman.” Theo frowned. As far back as he could recall, his dad never had an interest in cooking, let alone called it
