Seventeen: Cecelia Porter

1494 Words

Seventeen: Cecelia Porter My head was pounding. Blurred memories of a night spent in a club with Victor flashed through my mind. I’d been spending a lot of time with him since the the hospital. He was fun, and he helped me forget. We drank, and danced, and sometimes for a moment I felt something other than miserable. Normally, he took me to the apartment his family rented in the city. But when I woke up, I was in a place that I didn’t recognize. Worse, in a bed I didn’t know. With purple sheets and black covers that smelled faintly of a cologne I didn’t recognize. Horror shot through me. What had I done? Had I slept with Victor? Or worse, had I slept with a random stranger? I got up, relieved to see that my clothes were still on although I wasn’t sure that meant that I was safe.
