Cern tugged at another stone and saw a familiar patch of fur. It was completely still. He hung his head, it was as he feared, the wolf spirit was dead. Emma would be heartbroken. Behind him shrieking interrupted his mourning. He turned his head slowly, nearly exhausted with his efforts and not ready to deal with anymore problems. He noted with wry amusement it was Lugus screaming. Lugus had his hands around the shaft of the spear, struggling to free himself from it. Cern pulled himself to his feet with effort and wearily made his way to Lugus' side.
