Kara's POV:
I quickly headed out of the room and then out of Atticus' suite. A few of the guards started to give me a glare but I knew I probably smelled like fresh blood from his bite, but that didn't stop me from looking over my shoulder a few times to make sure none of them were following me. Thankfully, none were. That is usually about the only time I have to really be careful and watch the other vampires, right after Atticus has bitten me. That is, if he doesn't take that much and I end up leaving him right away after.
"Kara!" I heard Jovian's voice as I rounded the corner at the top of the stairs.
I didn't have intentions of stopping, I had a lot of work I needed to get done so I continued on my way as if I hadn't heard him.
