Claudia's POV:
While I waited for Jovian to come back with Azariah, I went back to looking at the blood I got from Azariah. His scent is different because his blood isn't the same. As I looked at it through the microscope, I could see his demon's blood and I could see his human blood all royal vampires have, swirled around the leathery shiny texture of his demon blood.
I walked over to the jar that had a little more of his blood and I pour the compound that separates the different strands of blood from each other into it. I watched as his demon blood separated from the human blood and then the bond that is in all species that have a true mate. I took a syringe and pulled out just the bond from the jar. The bond is the part I'm certain is what has the strange scent.
