Kara's POV:
I slowly peeked around the corner as I opened my door. I've been doing what I could the last couple of days to stay away from Atticus. He's been kept busy, which has kept me from having him either beat the s**t out of me again or bite me. I know that he isn't bothering with trying to locate me to feed because I've seen one of the guards carrying an unconscious woman back to the basement. I would like to know what it is that he is so busy with because I know it isn't because of one of the nests, but now isn't really the time to be noticed by him. No time ever is but right now is probably the worst, let alone to try to figure out what it is he is doing that doesn't involve the pending vampire nests.
