Kara's POV:
I stood there and watched his expression and his eyes. I tried to keep my heart from picking up speed from the anxiety it caused to stand here and wait for his answer but I wasn't able to keep it from doing what it wanted to do. At least, with my raised heart rate, it didn't seem to be bothering him any. I was glad to see that he had great control for being his age. Most, even at his age, would have a hard time controlling themselves around a fast heartbeat. The only other problem is, I know that he knows why my heart was picking up speed. The way I was feeling as I stood here waiting anxiously for his answer was not at all something that I wanted him to know about.
"I can't," He told me, which caused my heart to flip several times in my chest.
Of course, I was over the moon
