Chapter 5- Gruó

“ What is your name?” He asked her, making his way to take off his coat. She turned and followed his every move.
“ Aurora...” shyly replying, putting her hair behind her ear.
“ Nice to meet you Aurora, I’m Gruó.” He said, before smiling at her. His pink lips stretched on his face, making his whole face look friendly. The smile was short-lived, he went back to the straight face which was intimidating.
“ Gruó, okay...” Aurora awkwardly said.
“ Hungry, Aurora?” He asked her, as he disappeared into another room.
“ Yes, I am hungry.” She replied, making her way to sit down on a wooden chair which was by a table.
He came back out, wearing something different.
“ I’ll prepare something quickly.” He said, Aurora sat awkwardly with her hands laid on the table.
It started smelling amazing in the kitchen, she couldn’t help but stretch her neck.
“ What’s cooking?” She asked him, he turned and smiled at her.
“ Meat.”
She hadn’t had much meat, she had pumpkin most of the time, which she enjoyed each time.
He put down a huge steak Infront of her, “ You eat meat, right?”
“ Yes...” she replied, tying her hair up in a bun. “ May I go wash my hands?”
“ Of course, right over there.” He pointed to a tap. She stood up and washed her hands, drying them before sitting down.
She grabbed it with both her hands and wasted no time. She finished it so quickly, Gruó was left in shock. He looked at her as she pushed her plate towards him, “ two more please...” she politely asked.
He looked at her orange eyes which shimmered, “ Two more, okay.”
He stood up and made more for her, of which she finished effortlessly.
She looked at him, “ This isn’t very filling, do you maybe have more of it and some pumpkin?” She asked with a slight smile.
Gruó couldn’t help but chuckle, “ I can make that for you if you wish.”
“ Thank you.” She said, smiling awkwardly at him. Her perfect teeth showed the ones on the edges slightly sharp.
Gruó stood up at made food for Aurora, exactly the way she asked for it. The huge steak had made him full, he didn’t even know girls had such a huge appetite.
“ Do you live alone Gruó?” Aurora asked, looking around the empty house.
“ I do, do you?” He asked her back.
“ Only for a few days.” She replied, he blinked in confusion but he only nodded.
She finished her pumpkin and meat, which was filling.
“ I would be happy to go sleep now please.” She said, standing up.
“ Sure, you can take my bed.” He said, pointing towards his room.
She stood up and walked towards the room, and looked at the huge bed which was neatly made.
“ Which side are you taking?” She asked him, Gruó was in disbelief before moving the bangs on his forehead back...
“ By the door...” he said before she disappeared into the room. He switched off the lights before following her to the bedroom.
She slipped into the sheets and faced him as he stood by the door, “ Are you sure?” He asked her.
“ Yes, you’re a good guy, right?” She asked him.
“ I guess...” he said before slipping into the sheets next to her. “ I want to know more about you Aurora.” He whispered out, “ Like how are your eyes orange?”
She looked at him, inches away.
“ Because Fluk put a curse in me...” she replied, “ I am not completely human...”
“ Who is Fluk?”
“ My father...” she whispered out, her warm breath brushing against his skin. He froze, took a moment to take in her beauty.
“ Well, I think your orange eyes make you irresistible.” He said, before shifting to turn around. He had her back facing her, she wanted to talk more but the feeling wasn’t mutual. She turned around as well and found herself drifting to sleep.
Next day
“ Aurora...” Gruó whispered out, shaking her body softly. She flinched slightly, before brushing his hand away and pulling the blankets to cuddle herself.
He stood up and left her in the room to start his day.
She woke up to the smell of food, looking around to see darkness through the windows. Had she only slept for a few minutes, maybe hours? Seems Gruó was restless too.
She walked to the kitchen where Gruó was preparing dinner,
“ Oh hey, I see you finally decided to wake up.” He said, before placing a huge turkey leg on top of the table, with some pumpkin too.
“ I must wash first.” She said, “ where can I wash please?”
He pointed her to a room, “ there will be hot water on the tap.” He said, he knew most cottages needed to boil their water with a pot, she knew that too.
“ Thank you.” She turned and ran herself warm water. She took off her dress, gently placing it on the ground before slipping into the water.
It felt like a thousand massages, tickles as well. It was relaxing. She let her hair down, as it dangled outside the bath, almost touching the floor.
“ Aurora...” Gruó called out outside the door.
“ You may enter.” She said as the door opened slightly.
“ I have placed a shirt of mine you may wear when you’re done, so you can wash your dress.” He said, she turned around slowly. He saw the curve of her shaped perky breasts before looking up at her piercing orange eyes,
“ Thank you, I will be out soon.” She said before turning back around.
