"So talk," I said, trying to hold my ground.
He pulls away and takes one glance behind me, "Not here," he adjusts the collars on his suit and walks out of the room.
We continued down the long hallway until a pair of double doors blocked our path. He steeled himself and pulled hard on the door handle.
"Watch your step," he tells me before stepping inside the room. I glance behind my shoulder once before following him inside. I held onto the railing and slowly descended the staircase, which had a small seating area that led into the huge wine cellar.
He shut the wrought-iron door behind me, and my eyes wandered around the room. The shelves were covered in wine bottles and arranged neatly.
