My lips trembled while my mind jolted. Finally, my heartbeats reached the ceiling, and sudden happiness overwhelmed my emotions. Lily was here! She was here for me.
My arms automatically surrounded her, pulling her into a tight hug as if I was holding on to my life. She hugged me back as she whispered, “oh god! I have missed you, sweetheart.”
I missed her too! More than anything in my life. Tears rolled down my eyes, and a sob left my mouth. Her warmth absorbed all my sorrow. I found bliss in this hell. Suddenly, reality hit me. Lily was in my room, inside Lorenzo’s house! How did she get here?
I pulled away quickly, holding onto her shoulder, “how did you get here?”
