I follow the warrior through the paths of the pack, following the winding roads. Taken in by how well cared for the pack is. It had been something that had struck me when I had arrived, yet it amazes me again. Such a beautiful place. Each path is edged by delicate borders of flowers. Trees are dotted in any available spaces. The houses nearby are so beautiful, and their gardens are equally as carefully tended to. I am lucky to be living in such a pack…
“You look deep in thought there, Miss Lena.” The warrior speaks.
I turn to him and smile. “Just thinking how beautiful pack is.” I explain and he returns my smile.
“Indeed.” I watch as he turns to bring his gaze to me, curiosity filling those big brown eyes of his. “Do you miss your home yet?”
I am shocked by his forwardness, but nod.
