Shoving open the door felt different this time.
The eyes that would rest on her were accusatory this time and all she could do was huff about why. Ben’s hand was still her captive and until the door closed behind them and she was sure he wouldn’t move to outshine her success in the hangar. It didn’t help the way things looked or felt for that matter, and yet she knew she’d still have to endure the girls and the way they’d tease her for this.
