“A lot of this is because of Phaux’s,” she made sure to comment over her shoulder to Ben. “There are people that are trying to get a good look and people that like to be at the cutting edge of service all for a tabloid telling what mechanics have in their garage,” she huffs. “I love this time of year,” she sighs, then turns to him, looking up at him with a knowing eye, “but the people can be nasty.”
Ben seemed to understand, his nod said he did at least.
“I’m sure we can kick this out,” he assured her. “Get Chyanne and Roxi back in here and I’ll do what I can for these people.”
Kayla didn’t miss how his gaze flicked from her toward the small crowd that looked on, expecting results.
“You focus on getting Arthur out of here,” he murmured his command making her wonder just what it was h
