Kayla’s heart couldn’t be fuller. There was a lot left to do and yet they had come so far.
She revels in the joy she feels about her projects coming to life, the way her family has been exceedingly supportive, the way her Mate cares for her endlessly, even wanting to share in the moment with them as they completed it. It felt amazing to be seen, to be cared for like Ben had been, she thought, leaning her cheek against his chest to graze her scent against him, collecting his own in the process.
It seemed he liked it and it was the less intrusive thing to do considering they weren’t alone. Not like she used to feel… not anymore.
