CHAPTER 4~ WHY ARE YOU SORRY?

902 Words
“Larisa angel…” He stared down at the watch on his wrist. “You’re eleven minutes late.” Larisa took a shaky step back, pointing at him. “It’s him…I…he’s going to…” Her heart thumped against her chest when he stood to his feet, that taunting smile turning into a sinister smirk. “I thought you said you’d be an hour early. How could you lie to me, little reporter?” He stepped towards her, and the cops stepped aside, freeing his path to her. That was when her heart started to drum with a bit too much vigor, fear was slowly paralyzing her, but still she managed to take shaky steps backwards until her back was against the wall. “You…” Her eyes drifted between the officers. “P-Please…help me…” “You want them to help you? What god awful thing could you be so afraid of?” He grabbed her face, twisting it so she stared only at him. “I’ve been waiting for eleven f*cking minutes, Larisa…don’t you think you deserve to be punished for that?” His hand slipped down her face, sinking painfully deep into her shoulder. “You don’t need to answer that…I’ll thoroughly enjoy putting you in your f*cking place.” With that, he began hauling her inside the room, using the painful grip he had against her skin. Larisa cried out, her eyes flashing towards the cops that still stood by the doorway. “Help me…help me please…!” she cried, but neither of them made a move. She was thrown against the floor, her upper arm colliding with the sharp edge of the bed frame. Julian grabbed the door, but before slamming it closed, he chuckled. “Thanks for bringing her in boys…you can now return.” And then Larisa watched in slow motion as the door closed before her eyes, locking her away from any possible help that might be out there. Her body was shaking, eyes glossed over with tears, muscles paralyzed with fear…He was going to kill her now, wasn’t he? He’d release that video, watch her suffer from the humiliation, then take her life when it was all done…he’d…he’d… Larisa shuffled back against the floor as he approached her, fear devouring her whole. She had known it was a bad idea to report him from the beginning. He was rich. He’d be able to get himself out of prison without much effort…however, what she hadn’t seen coming was him being able to use the police even against her. She didn’t understand how they could be cops and deliberately put her in danger. It was cruel of them, but the only person she could blame for the position she was in now was herself. She should’ve never gone to that police station, she shouldn’t have believed that there was hope out there for her…for there wasn’t. She was born for pain, born for sadness…born to be ruined…but…but… Larisa gasped when her back hit the walls of the hotel room. The enclosed space made her feel impotent. She had nowhere to run to, nobody to cry out to…she was just buried 6ft deep in her own doom. If Julian could manipulate the police, then didn’t that mean he could kill her and get no punishment for it? Tears from her eyes grazed her cheeks as he stooped before her with an ugly, sinister smile on his lips. Larisa intertwined her hands beneath her chin, tears continuously running down her cheeks as she began to beg. “P-Please…I’m begging you…I’ll do whatever you want from now on, I’ll listen now…just please let me live. I-I’m sorry…” The man chuckled, the sound dark and unappealing. “Why are you sorry? If you apologize for the right thing, I’ll let it go…I’ll forgive you, angel.” “I…I’m sorry for…the police…I’m sorry for telling the police.” He grabbed beneath her chin, a dark and malicious look appearing in his eyes. “Is that what you’re sorry for?” His hand glided slowly to her neck, gripping it loosely before moving down to grab onto her blouse collar. He was inducing fear into her, letting her know that he was in complete control of her and this awful situation. “You got it wrong, little reporter…I’m not angry about that…I’m more angry about the fact that you got here late after I told you to come on time!” He yanked her towards him and her heart chose to not beat. “Please…” She muttered out as she gripped tight to the towel he wore. “P-Please don’t…I…I’m sorry…I’m sorry I’m late…I…sorry.” “Right…that’s what you should be apologizing for…however, since you got it wrong the first time, I don’t think that’s enough to calm me down. Should I post that video? Should I ruin you? Should I make it so that you can’t even leave your house? Tell me, angel…” Larisa shook her head despite how dizzy the motion made her feel. “N-No…please don’t.” He smiled at her, letting go of her shirt. “I shouldn’t? Why not? What will you give me in return?” Her lips wobbled as she held his white towel even tighter. “My e-everything…I’ll give you anything y-you want.” “Is that so? That offer is alluring enough…especially since I like ‘everything’ about you.”
