He watched as she leaned into her father’s embrace, watched as Bradley hugged the two of them. He could see the relief on their faces to have her safe and with them once more. It was late in the afternoon when they got back to where Jay-la and Stephen had been held.
He knew that they’d left yesterday evening, all of them, to go back and rest, to have Jody call Vera, let her know what was going on, and to call Alpha Austin to sort out Sophia’s containment or punishment. He didn’t yet know which it would be, though he would be pushing for punishment.
