The Hybrid Prophecy

Chapter Twenty

(Ben’s point of view)

I could not stop my leg from shaking as we got closer to the Royal pack, I was going to see the woman I love again for the first time in over 22 years. Does she still love me? Does she even remember me? All these thoughts were going through my head that I did not even realize that the car had stopped.

   “Look we are here” Judy says putting me out of my thoughts, I look out the window to see the King, Queen and two other younger people waiting for us. We all get out of the car but my wolf gets ready to attack when I get the sent of three vampire, I look to see that Alex and John are ready to attack too. John had put Judy behind him to protect her,

   “please come down there is nothing wrong” the King says but none of use relax.

   “I am sorry my King but we cannot, there are at less three vampires on your land, we have to protect ourselves” Alex says as he tried to look for the vampires. The young man next to the King growled at what Alex had said and pushed the woman behind him.

   “I can explain that but I want you all to listen to everything that I say, please come in and I will explain” he says and walks into the castle. The Queen and the young woman follows him but the man stays there and glares at us all until the woman were gone and he quickly followed. I saw that Alex went into the castle followed by Judy and John. I took one last look around to see if I could see the vampires but when I could not see anything I walked into the castle. Once we were all sitting down the King told us about finding his long-lost son and who had kidnapped him and then going to the vampire land to save him. He told us that the young man next to him is their son and the young woman sitting on his lap is his mate, what we was not prepared for was him telling us that she was a vampire but because Jack had bit her and she did the same to him that they were hybrids and that it why we could smell vampires.

   “WHAT?” We all shouted at the same time, I could not believe they would let their son mark a vampire as his mate.

   “You should not have let your son mark a filthy vampire as a mate” I roar at him, not caring at that moment he is my King. Before I could even blink I was pinned against the wall, I did not see who it was but they were faster than anything I had ever seen.

   “DO NOT TALK ABOUT MY MATE LIKE THAT” he roared at me as I tried to get him off of me but he was too strong for me.

   “Baby let go of him, no wolves have had a good experience with vampires. I do not blame him for reacting that way, do you remember how you reacted to me?” she says with a smile on his face, Jack smiled back at her and let go of me. I have never known a vampire to be nice or even touch a wolf, she gives me a look and walks out of the room.

   “Where is she going?” Judy asks us but no one answers, I tried to figure out what she was doing but nothing came to my mind. I walked her walk back in holding the hand of someone else, I looked up to see who it was and my whole world stopped. In front of me stood the woman that I was meant to spend the rest of my life with,

while smiling at the vampire. I could not believe what I was hearing “Ruby? Why are you holding her hand?” I ask not being able to understand why she would be so close to a vampire or whatever she was.  

    “why would I not? she was the one that broke the spell on me and gave me my life back, she even removed the mark Henry had put on me” she says wearing, vampires are not all bad. Judy stood up and walked over to Ruby, she just looked at her for a minute maybe then pulled her like her life depended on it.

   “I am so happy to have my daughter back” she says while hugging Ruby, John practically ran at the both of them Judy and wrapped his arms around them.

   “Thank you…. erm” started to say but could not finish her sentence,

   “Rose” the vampire replied.

   “Thank you Rose for giving me my daughter back” she says while not letting go of Ruby, I do not think that she will be letting go for a while.

   “Ruby” I said while walking towards her slowly, her eyes meet mine as let did I saw the love she held for me in them but I also saw fear, what would she had to be afraid of? Is it me? Why would she be afraid?

   “Ben there is something I want to tell you, it is something that I have wanted to tell you for a long time but I never got the chance and I do not want to wait another minute without you knowing” she says while making her way out of her parents arms and over to me. I could not take my eyes off of her even if I wanted to, she walked right up to me and only stopped when she was almost touching me.

   “I love you Ben, I have always loved you and I would love it if you accepted me as your mate” she says, my wolf accepts straight away. As soon as he did the most delicious smell hit my nose, it smelled like grass after it rained and pine wood. The only thing that brought me out of thinking about her smell was when she touched my hand, sparks shot through my whole arm.

   “Mate” I whisper,

   “Mate” she whispers back at me, I can feel the smile spreading across my face, I finally have a mate. I pull her into my arms and kiss her, I kiss her like my life depends on it, I did not realize what I was doing until someone cleared there throat. The way I was holding Ruby and kissing her was not something I should be doing in front of people.

   “I am sorry but excuse me but I am going upstairs to mark my mate, I have waited 22 years to do this and I am not waiting another minute to do so.” I say and pick up Ruby and throw her over my shoulder,

   “is there a room I could use?” I say to everyone in the room,

   “just go to Ruby’s room she will tell you the way” the King said while trying not to laugh but did not care, I have waited so long for her but not anymore.

(Rose’s point of view)

I could not help but smile as I watched Ben carry Ruby out of the room, I am so happy for her, it is good that she can have a happy life. I walk towards Jack to sit down next to him but before I could a guard runs in,

   “they are gone” the guard says breathlessly. Everyone just looked at him not sure who he was talking about,

   “who’s gone?” Lisa asked first,

   “the prisoners that kidnapped the prince, one minute they were there and the next they weren’t” he says, as soon as he finished we all ran to the cells. When we get to the cells it is true what the guards said there was no sign of them. We walk into the cell and I got the scent of something that I never smelled before. I followed it to the back of the cell and found a note,

   “guys I found something” I told them as I opened the note.

   ‘Dear Prince and Princess

   You think that you can try to undo everything that I have worked so hard to make happen, have fun for now because I have an army that will kill the both of you and the thrown that belongs to the werewolves and vampires will be mine. I have done too much to let you ruin it now, you will never see my attack happen just like your father Rose.
