Amber POV
Sophie was trembling, looking incredibly frightened, but I felt calm. Now that I was no longer restrained and was free, Darius would finally get what was coming to him. I wondered if he knew about Sophie. As it was I could hear his shouting and cursing as he began to look for me, smashing doors open and splintering the wood, rather than just opening them nicely. I had locked the door as a precaution but I didn't think that would hold him off for very long.
"Sophie, hide behind the bed" I instructed her, never taking my eyes off of the door.
Sophie obeyed without question. I spared a quick glance at her, and smiled, seeing she'd done what I asked.
There was a loud banging on the door.
"Amber" roared Darius "where are you?"
