*Elizabeth POV* The ride back home was short and silent. Not the awkward type of silence though. Mike parked his car from across my mansion and we both got down. "Keep that attitude Marshalls, you look like an alien without it," he smiled at me without any mischievousness or sarcastic glint in his face. It was deep and genuine, matching his eyes for the first time in months. My throat contracted and tears brimmed my eyes urging me to hug him. And I did what my heart told me at the moment and hugged him. It didn't take him long to reciprocate the hug back. This person was no way related to me but he was my only family, the only one who cared about me and looked after me as if I was his own. He was my brother from another mother. A brother I was blessed with to get me out of my own mess.
