If I opened my eyes even a millimetre wider, my eyeballs would fall out. I had no doubt that my lungs no longer knew how to breathe, nor did my tongue know how to move. Rome turned the music down as I sat statue still in my place and stared at Duke who was glaring at Rome. Anger radiating out of him like waves but that wasn't what made me freeze.
