West whipped his head around and looked at me with widened eyes as soon as he registered my scream. His eyes were burning apple green, as if fuelled by his anger. From the peripheral of my vision, I noticed Kai and Dylan come to an halt a few steps away from me. Yet, his anger did not seem to dull even the slightest.
"Go back inside, Carlene," West's voice was unrecognisable and gutteral as he ordered me but I was so frozen in my spot that I just stood there staring the scene that had unfolded before my very own eyes.
"Dylan, Kai, take her inside," I resorted to command his cousins who commended immediately and reached for me. But I shrugged their hands away as soon as they touched me and stepped towards West with determination who was watching every single movement of mine.
