CHAPTER 5: OUT OF THE FIRECAROLINA COULD FEEL THE WETNESS of the two of them on her thighs as she crossed the garage to the front office. She silently hoped this was one of those times when Gabriel hadn’t time to do much more than pop his head in the door before making a hasty exit. “You’re working awfully late,” he observed the moment she’d walked through the doorway.
