I woke up with a radiant smile adorning my face. Despite barely getting more than four hours of sleep—having tossed and turned the entire night, my mind racing from the kiss I shared with Luke—I felt no trace of tiredness. I hurried to the bathroom and jumped into the shower, doing a little happy dance as the warm water enveloped me. Never in my life had I felt this exhilarated in the morning. Just the thought of Luke waiting for me in the lobby filled me with joy, even though he had been doing that for a few days now. "Mom, I won’t be home for lunch, but I've already prepared some food for you for both lunch and dinner," I called out as I exited my room, fully dressed in the clothes Luke had given me during my time in the demon realm.
