I cleared my throat, trying to maintain a sense of composure. "Luke, we're in public," I reminded him gently, my gaze darting around the bustling café filled with chatter and laughter. "I promise I'll explain everything to you when we're alone," I added, my voice softening as I noticed the way he continued to glower at me.
