As Anthony rushed past him in a flurry of fur, William spun around, shocked. An older man in a dirty button up shirt and grey canvas pants was at the end of the alley, moving toward them with a crowbar in his hand.  He was glaring at William, but his eyes quickly moved to Anthony and widened as the big black wolf stepped between them and started stalking toward him, growling. “What the hell are you doing here?” The man said loudly, tightening his grip on his crowbar as Anthony stalked closer.  “And what kind of dog is that?  Get him out of here!” Anthony stopped where he was, still growling, but William felt a little wave of relief.  The man’s tone suggested he wasn’t intending violence right away, at least, and probably wouldn’t do anything with Anthony staring him down like that. “We
