Garrett sat on the sleeping bag he'd hauled up into the treehouse, idly pulling the zipper back and forth along its chain as he waited. It was dark now and Taylor would be there any minute. He was so nervous now that it was time to meet that he couldn't get his heart to calm down. It just kept thumping and thumping so hard against his chest, he was sure Taylor would be able to hear it. He'd brought a flashlight wrapped in a plastic bag and had it sat in the torch holder they'd added during the rebuild, so he had a nice dim light to track his hand moving back and forth with the zipper. Should he have brought snacks? His stomach was in such knots he doubted he could've eaten a thing, but maybe Taylor would be hungry... But Garrett was too afraid of being caught, or Nanna changing her
