CHAPTER II: THE GLEAMING SIEGE (1)  ‘Above the thunderstorm fields of power and pride, a family established itself like the nature of the highest gods. As the owners of the wonderful currents from lightening´s will, as it caressed all around mythical winds. The great city of the luminous shine. The prolific realm of golden beatification. The most gleaming siege after clash. A fostered consecration from vivid forces that exerts consciousness around the locals; towards the outside world of tangible ideas. As remnants of divinity, through all of their natives’ rest within the firmament’s blessings. As it transcends times, and goes beyond recognition of life. Even after it was stifle with death. Even after the spirit of chaos dissented above all possible paths. Those which led the kings of this blessed nation to wonder, isn´t is strange, how the closer we´re to death, the more alive we become in our minds? “Good morning Marlina.” “Good morning my love!” exclaims the woman. “How´s the king of this beautiful island awakes from his sleep today?” “Worried.” responds the king. “About what, if I may know?” “It’s, you know,” stuttered the king, “nonsense.” “Come on tell me,” says Marlina. “I want to know.” “I don´t know, I´ve been feeling this presence of my brother, sort of like near me.” Says the king. “But it´s weird, since, I know he´s not here. He can´t be, right?” “My love, what are you talking about?” exclaims Marlina. “Why would he? You know Arac more than I do. He´s indifferent to the kingdom. He has his palace, his army, he finds joy in fighting the common mortals that had arouse as natives around the south, and we keep building our empire. It’s all safe!” “Besides,” continues the queen, “shall I remind you what day is today?” “Well I know, but– “The day of Maram! The day of our freedom!” exclaims the woman. “Today, marks thirty years since the end of the war. Thirty years for our kingdom, honey!” “Thirty years?” “Indeed!” shouts the queen I excitement. “Could you believe it?” “Well honestly, I don´t,” says Amsiret. “It’s has been too fast. We promise a festivity for today. Which reminds me is it–wait, let me call her. Pasithea! Come immediately!” Quickly, I descended, as usual for the bell stewards, from the small dome that stood above the king's cabin. Lower the spirals, singing happily. Quickly enter the royal chamber, to see the shadow of the kings. They looked happy, overjoyed. Especially the queen of light. "Tell me my kings!" Pasithea exclaims. "Is everything ready for the festival?" "Sir, only you are missing!" Pasithea responds. "Everyone is waiting for you downstairs, because the great reception of the kings is soon to be used." “Do you see why I adore this young woman? He is always one step ahead! " Marlina exclaimed. “Come on Pasithea, let's go ahead! Honey, will we wait for you downstairs, yes? " "But I don't even know what to wear!" "Sir, in the wardrobe of her left hand is the royal dress" exclaims Pasithea. "Her favorite, the white one with greenish jewels." "Wow, you are anticipating woman." exclaims the king. "In that case, go ahead, I'll catch up with you later." The women lowered the spirals, and waited for the king in front of the royal gates. You could hear the commotion of the hardened people; waiting for the departure of their kings. Inside the royal castle, they got two royal horses, which were segregated and separated for the kings of the north. After a little chat, and a few moments, King Amsiret came down the royal stairs. He climbed on his royal horse, and together with his queen's company they opened the floodgates. Hundreds of people were in front of them, with thousands of flags. They opened a royal passage, which led the kings to go through the defined path until they reached the hill of the event, where the kings arrived and announced the great celebration, as was part of the tradition. I went to one side of the queen, while the beauty of her power announced a good fortune among them all. Her energy infused everyone around her. Her masterful might enunciated the presence of Elgoneth; the presence of heaven. "It's a beauty isn't it?" Marlina asks. "So is my lady," I replied, "thank you." "And thanks to you, Pasithea," replies the queen. “YOU prepared everything, took care of everything, and now look at what has resulted from your great effort. I am very proud of you. I don't know what we would do without you. " "Thank you my lady," I exclaimed. "Actually, there is something I want to give you," exclaimed Marlina. "I think the time has come to give it up." The queen then placed her right hand on my left hand, without anyone being able to perceive anything. Subtly, she handed me a circular mirror. I had never seen her in my life. It was small, and unique, but it weighed a lot. And I immediately understood that the legend was true. This was the weapon, the queen's. The one with which, according to the account of some natives, only on some occasions, she combed her beautiful golden hair. "Ma'am, what are you doing?" I asked, "I don't deserve this." "Of course you deserve it!" exclaimed Marlina. “Pasithea, you have been helping us for ten long years. You've been through thick and thin with us, and while I can't deny that she doubted Amsiret's decision to have you as an assistant at first, she couldn't have made a better decision in her entire life. It's time to give you this, because it is mine and I decide who to give it to. " I looked into the mirror, but I realized that my reflection was not prostrating in it. I am only a mortal, since it seemed strange to me that it will not reflect anything. Then I turned around, and looked at the queen in confusion. She knew exactly what was happening. "Ma'am, excuse me, but is it damaged or something?" I asked for. "Car no!" responds to the woman between laughter, "Why do you say that?" "It's just that, I don't see my reflection through her." I replied. "The mirror of Sattara is made of infinite layers of divine silver," exclaims Marlina. “The purest metal, created by Elgoneth, which will only reflect that destined to carry it. To be the one. Don't give up, because now it will be yours, and one day, you will be able to see your reflection in it. When the divinity of the advents embraces your flight, and enhances your destiny. " ´ "Wait, she gave you the mirror?" Iram interrupts. Pasithea took from her dress pocket a small circular mirror. But not this one, it showed the reflection of neither of them. "Why not show the reflection?" "Because the reflection can only be reflected those worthy of the mirror," exclaims Pasithea. "To unlock its power." "So is it useless?" "It won't be, if it managed to unlock it," exclaims the woman. “And I think I will, when I get off this island. For only when I do, I know that my soul will be able to find dignity again, and I will be clean." "Why do you think you lost your dignity?" "It was all the fault, of the sinister will of the king." Pasithea exclaims.
